Wood is a living product that reacts to environmental conditions, meaning there are natural variations that will be present in all stakes. Here’s what you can expect when using our wooden tree stakes:
Natural Variations:
Knots and Cracks: As a natural product, our wooden stakes may contain knots and cracks. These are common occurrences that develop naturally during the growth of the timber and as the wood dries out. We do not handpick stakes, so these imperfections may vary in size and frequency. Over time, all wooden stakes will naturally develop cracks as they react to environmental changes such as heat, moisture, and sun exposure.
Wood Expansion and Contraction: Wooden stakes will swelling and contract depending on the moisture content and temperature changes. This means that the stakes may measure slightly smaller or larger than the advertised size for both length and diameter.
Installation Considerations: Risk of Breakage: When hammering the stakes into the ground, there is a possibility that the stake may break at the knot site or along a natural crack. This is a normal occurrence, and we recommend planning accordingly for potential breakages.
Order Extra Stakes: To account for the possibility of breakages during installation and to ensure that your project stays on schedule, we advise ordering 10-20% more stakes than you may initially require. This will help mitigate any potential issues and ensure you have enough stakes to complete your planting or landscaping project.

Delivery Information: Pallet Delivery: Orders of 50 stakes or more will be delivered on a pallet to ensure safe and secure transportation.
Oversized Stakes (1.5m, 1.8m, 2.1m, 2.4m): Please be aware that stakes over 1.5m in length are considered oversized and too large to be unloaded via a tail-lift. These oversized stakes will require an offload at the delivery site, either by forklift or manual handling.
Buyer Responsibility for Offloading: It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that offloading is arranged at the delivery site. This may involve arranging access to a forklift or providing manual handling to unload the stakes. If offloading is not available, the delivery cannot proceed as planned, and additional fees may apply for re-delivery.

Returns and Replacements:
Please note that knots, cracks, and natural variations in size are not defects but rather part of the inherent characteristics of natural wood. As such, we do not accept returns or offer replacements for stakes that contain knots or cracks. All wooden tree stakes will exhibit these characteristics over time as they react to environmental conditions.
