The Oceanos Tree Guard 1.2m is a pioneering tree protection shelter designed to support sustainable forestry and tree planting while helping reduce ocean-bound plastic waste. Made from Oceanomer® – a material containing a minimum of 50% recycled ocean-bound and post-consumer plastic – this tree guard offers high-performance protection for young trees while contributing to a cleaner, greener planet.

Ideal for use in forestry planting schemes, woodland creation, council-led projects, and large-scale landscaping works, the Oceanos shelter protects against browsing damage from rabbits, hares, and deer while also offering excellent wind resistance and herbicide protection.

The twin-wall design delivers thermal insulation to aid tree growth and establishment, while the flared rim minimises bark damage. A laser-line structure improves shelter strength and light diffusion, enhancing internal growing conditions. The pre-fitted cable ties make installation fast and hassle-free, and the guards are nested for compact, eco-friendly transportation.

Each hectare planted using Oceanos shelters can help prevent around 150kg of plastic from entering waterways and cut CO₂ emissions by up to 228kg—proving that effective tree protection doesn’t have to come at the environment’s expense.

Installation Guide
Position the Oceanos Tree Guard around the base of the young tree.
Secure it using the pre-fitted cable ties to a suitable stake or support post.
Ensure the flared rim is above the tree collar and not pressing against the stem.
For best results, install guards shortly after planting during dormant season.
